About me

Born and bread in Mexico City, I've always been interested in foreign languages and cultures. When, as a teenager, I moved with my family to Chihuahua city, I learned to adapt to a whole different environment and culture. Upon my High School graduation, I took a gap year in the US. This experience unveiled a new universe to my already curious mind. I decided to pursue my undergraduate studies in France. I have a Montessori diploma from Association Montessori Internationale, a bachelor's degree in Latin American Studies at the Sorbonne and a Master's degree in Conference Interpreting at ITIRI, University of Strasbourg.

I have lived, studied and worked in Montréal, Berlin, Amman and Montevideo. I have traveled around the world. My working languages are SpanishEnglish, French and Italian. I have a deep understanding of many different cultures and I often surprise and delight my clients with a word in their native language.

Seventeen years ago I stepped into an interpretation booth and haven't left since. I have certainly built a career rich in experiences and wonderful clients.

Passion is my greatest quality. Combined with my expertise, I manage to persuade, influence, attract and inspire my clients' clients. I am also expressive, intuitive and engaging, qualities that allow me to give a human touch to my work.

Conference interpretation's ultimate goal is also mine: to unite cultures.

Conference interpreting uses a series of techniques to orally convey a message from a source to a target language. The purpose of this discipline is to break down the linguistic barriers that separate people, organizations or governments.

Simultaneous interpretation uses a booth, consoles, headphones, microphones, transmitters and receivers. The interpreters simultaneously translate the speaker's message into the audience's language and help the audience ask their questions to the speaker.

Remote interpretation can be done by telephone during a work meeting, using consecutive interpretation. But it can also be done through the interpretation feature of a virtual meeting platform (zoom or webex) or a Remote Simultaneous Interpretation interface. And it can also be done through recordings: a recorded audio/video handed to the interpreter. The recorded interpretation is embedded into the video file and remain available for users to watch at any time.

Consecutive Interpretation uses note-taking to consecutively convey the messages between the speaker and the audience. A solid note-taking technique will help the interpretation to be flawless and grasp every detail of the conversation.

Whispering is useful when only one or two people do not understand the meeting's language. This way everyone can follow what's being said without making the meeting last longer.

Liaison Interpretation is used during an official visit (CEO, auditor, artist, head of government). The interpreter acts as liaison between the visitor and the audience.
